Have you ever thought that you were too sinful (dirty, unworthy and undeserving) of and for Jesus Christ's love? What of those who are physically repulsive? Though we are all these things, that's what makes us eligible as well!!! Good news right?! In Matthew 8:28, Jesus sends demons into a herd of pigs from two demon possessed men. These demons inhabited these two men. They were violent and unapproachable. Demons are fallen angels that chose to rebel with satan against God. The demons recognized Jesus as God's Son. The amazing thing about this scenario is that by "ceremonial laws", these men were UNCLEAN in 3 ways: they were non-Jews, demon possessed, and they came from a graveyard. Where am I going with all this? Though they were these things, Jesus STILL cared for their well being. Later, the demons' action proved their destructive intent. Jesus' action on the other hand, shows the value He places on human life. We should NEVER turn our backs on those that are repulsive to us by society's norms, who violate our moral standards and religious beliefs. We SHOULD realize that every human individual is a unique creation of God, whom needs to be touched by His love. Please let that sink in...
Matthew 8:28 - "When He arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met Him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way."
