A phenomenon that has taken the Montreal HIP-HOP scene by storm, created by Montreal based rapper; Marvilous St-Laurent, he started this movement because he was tired of the "Neknominations" movement. This movement started with people filming themselves drinking alcohol and then nominating someone else to do it in front of the camera. He invented the "rap nominations". What this was was one artist posts one video of his or her best 16 BARS and then they had to go on to nominate 3 other artists so a chain movement can be created. The movement caught the attention of many Montreal based rappers such as Dramatik. French Hip Hop own; Dramatik caught on to this and eventually posted his rap nomination and went on to leave a "free pass" to anyone that wanted it. Steeve Jerome, also known as YM seized the opportunity to not only show his skills but most importantly push his faith in Jesus Christ in his lyrics and introduce people to Jesus Christ through his words. It created an instant buzz! What was once a nonsensical and potentially dangerous showcase became a internet sensation where Montreal artists began to push and represent their faith in their lyrics.
