.....::::: DO YOU REMEMBER THE TIME? :::::.....

Do you remember the time when you fell in love with Jesus Christ? Do you remember the time when you first met Him? Do you remember the time when you were kind to God, or were you only expecting God to be kind to you? Do you remember when everything you did in your life was to please Him, or did you constantly complain because things didn't go your way? We love it when a friend keeps his or her commitments but we are disappointed when they fail to keep their promise. Do you remember the time you first fell in love with God? Are you as filled with overwhelming love for Jesus Christ as you were in the beginning? That time where you went out of your way to prove your devotion to Him? Sin distances us from Him but how bad do you want to return to that place and time where it was just you and Him? Think about your original commitment to obey God, and ask yourself if you are remaining truly devoted.
Jeremiah 2:2 - "Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem: “This is what the Lord says: “ ‘I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved Me and followed Me through the wilderness, through a land not sown."

.....::::: PENINNAH.....MOVE!!!! :::::.....

In the Bible, Peninnah was Elkannah's jealous other wife. She was jealous because though she gave birth to Elkannah's children, she never was the receiver of his heart like Hannah was; who was actually sterile. She treated Hannah with disdain. Peninnah being the pain she was, drove Hannah to prayer. The amazing thing is that in 1 Samuel 2:3, Hannah did not have to get even with Peninnah. She knew God, who knows all and sees all, would judge all sin and pride. She left judgment up to God. Resist the temptation to take justice into your own hands. God got you! God will weigh your deeds as well as those who have wronged you. So the next time a "Peninnah" comes your way and tries to crush your spirit, look it straight in the face and say "God is in control! Peninnah...MOVE!!!" Have a blessed day :)
1 Samuel 2:3 - "Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by Him deeds are weighed."

.....::::: PRAYER + PERSEVERANCE = BREAKTHROUGH :::::.....

Just because you see nothing doesn't mean God isn't up to something!!!
In 1 Kings 18:43-44, Elijah believed God would end the drought therefore, he continued to PRAY for rain. People probably thought he was crazy because he kept believing when it really looked like a dead situation. He trusted God would stay faithful to His promise! Persistence and Perseverance are essential! In this passage, we see that persistence and perseverance plus prayer caused a breakthrough. Elijah was not only persistent but he did not take “no” for an answer.
Many times in life we give up too easily...For example during a Doctor's appointment – when the doctor says “no,” when we have a bad day, an opportunity falls through or our kids are acting up. We must realize our prayers are providing a constant and powerful breakthrough! God sent Elijah a small sign – a cloud and soon after there was a heavy rain. Although you may not see it, God is forming small clouds on your behalf! Isn't that reassuring?!
If there is an area in your life you have given up; And you are just another touch away from victory, stand strong knowing God is forming clouds for you! Thank God in advance for the small victories in your life. You're welcome :)
1 Kings 18:43-44 “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’ ”

.....::::: A PROSTITUTE NAMED RAHAB :::::.....

Shocking that I'd mention a prostitute right? Well Rahab was a prostitute in the city of Jericho. Being a prostitute, she lived on the edge of society, one stop short of rejection. Her house was built right into the city wall. It provided lodging and favors to travelers. It was a natural place for the Israelites to stay and be mistaken for her customers.
The Israelites were about to invade Jericho and this worried Rahab. Yes she was afraid but she turned to the Lord for salvation. Her faith gave her the courage to hide the Israelite spies. Though her position was not favorable, she took the risk.
God often uses people with simple faith to accomplish His great purpose, no matter what kind of past they have had  - like Rahab - whom we are inclined to reject. God remembers her because of her faith and not her profession. If you ever feel like a failure, remember that Rahab didn't allow her past to keep her from the new role God had for her. Think all the more He can do with you!!!
Joshua 2:1 - "Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. “Go, look over the land,” he said, “especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there."
