.....::::: HUSBAND & WIFE UNDER GOD :::::.....

Marriage is a real serious issue! It is not like when we used to play boyfriend and girlfriend in the old days. Or even when we were teens and jumped from one person to another in the span of a week. Its a communion, an engagement and most importantly, it's the very picture of the relationship between Christ and His church! It's a holy union, a living symbol, a precious relationship that needs tender, self-sacrificing care. Now the question is how should a MAN love His wife? He should be willing to sacrifice everything for her. His priorities should be God and her well-being. He should care for her as he cares for his own body. Loving someone like that can only cause them to love you the same in return. We need to stop looking at the relationships we see on tv and seek the relationship God has for us with Him and our eventual spouse! Please let that sink in...
Ephesians 5:28-30 "In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body."

.....::::: JESUS :::::.....

A name we all claim to know in some shape or form but who is Jesus really? In John 1:1, it states that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." But what does that mean? When Christ was born, God became a man. Don't be fooled though, He was not part man and part God; He was completely human and completely divine. Although Jesus took upon Himself full humanity and lived as a man, He never ceased to be the eternal God who always existed; the source of eternal life. Later on in John 1:14 it states that "The Word became flesh [...]". What that means it became human. Jesus Christ became the "spokesperson" of how God thinks and leads by example of how we should do the same. Before Christ came, people could know God partially. After Christ came, people had full access because He became visible and tangible in Jesus Christ. He is the perfect expression of God in human form. We often minimize Jesus' humanity and His divinity. Hope this helps. Have a blessed day :)
John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." & John 1:14 - "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

.....::::: BAD INFLUENCE AND BAD COMPANY :::::.....

To influence is to have an effect on the character or behaviour of someone or something, or the effect itself. Whether you are a Christian or not, we have all been in a similar position at least once in our lives. For example, someone you know influences you into something that compromises your Christian faith. If the source of influence causes you to distance from God with that moment, stop. Reevaluate the situation and run the other way. Literally! There are so many examples! We all have friends or that one friend that loves to gossip. Run the other way. That friend that isn't faithful? Run the other way. One bad fruit can cause others to be wasted as well. But we mustn't take this out of context either. We shouldn't put the blame only on the other person. We too are at fault. But I am here to tell you that God knows these things even before you do them. His very Word warns us about things of this nature. The Bible can change your life. You just have to read it. Let it influence you. Have a blessed day and be a positive influence!
1 Corinthians 15:33 - "Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

.....::::: PURE LOVE :::::.....

Valentine's Day is one of the most commercialized holidays known to man. It's up there with Christmas in my opinion. Its a holiday about love. But what is love exactly? The love we celebrate every February 14th is one that society gets us to think truly exists. But God has something and gave you something far greater than a bouquet of flowers. His love is not static or self-centered; it reaches out and draws others in. When you love, you should love freely to the point of self - sacrifice. Every Valentine's Day rose has its thorns but Jesus wore a crown of thorns so you can know what love truly is. God's love is not limited to one day but demonstrated throughout an eternity. I won't call Jesus Christ my "Valentine" but I will call Him my Savior. His love exceeds the calendar boundaries of February 14th. His love is demonstrated 365 days a year + the rest of eternity. Please let that sink in...think about it...
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Dreez

.....::::: LIVE LIKE JESUS CHRIST :::::.....

Some of us see Jesus as what He truly is; God, the human representation of God on earth and even their personal Savior. But what if I told you that this God was at the same time a Man but a humble one at that? He was willing to give up His rights in order to obey God and serve people. Like Christ, we should adopt a servant-like attitude, serving out of love for God and others. But my question is when did it become about US? We often turn a blind eye to our very own selfishness, pride, or evil by claiming they are our "rights". For example, some think they can cheat on a test because they deserve to pass, or spend all their money because they worked hard for it. Or even worse, get an abortion because they have the right to control their own body. FALSE! If we say we are disciples of Jesus Christ, we must also say we want to live like Him! Are you selfishly clinging to your rights, or are you willing to serve? You have the choice: approach life expecting to be served or look for opportunities to serve others. Please let that sink in....
Philippians 2:3-7 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness."

.....::::: P.R.I.D.E III :::::.....

Pride is such a nasty emotion. Believe me, I can tell you. Pride can keep older people from attempting to understand the youth and it can keep the younger generation from listening to the teachings and advice of the older generation. In the Bible, Peter tells us to be humble and serve one another. The young should follow the leadership of the older generation; who should lead by example. We should respect those who have more experience than us and be humble enough to admit that we can learn from each other. Pride can even lead us to stress about our positions or status. For example in a church or at work. We often want the recognition for what we do. God's recognition counts more than human praise. Humbly obey God regardless of the circumstances, and in His good time, whether it on earth or in heaven, He will lift you up. Please let that sink in...
1 Peter 5:5-7 "In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”    Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

.....::::: P.R.I.D.E II :::::.....

Ever believe that where you are now, you got there because of your own effort? Ever believe that you accomplished something because of your talents? No one can claim to be adequate without God's help. No one can do the things God has in store for us on his or her own. Without the Holy Spirit, we and our talents can only go so far...We need to learn to humble ourselves. We need to stop comparing ourselves as well. When we compare ourselves with others, we begin to feel pride because we eventually begin to think that we are better than them. But if we actually took the time to compare ourselves to God's standards, we would realize how useless pride is. Stop looking to others or comparing, you are unique. If you don't see where God is bringing you, be calm and stay humble. Serve. It is when you serve that you realize what being served is like. Please let that sink in...
2 Corinthians 3:5 - "Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God."
2 Corinthians 10:12 - "We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise."

.....::::: P.R.I.D.E. :::::.....

People Rush Into Destruction Eventually. Pride is to have inordinate self-esteem. Full of ones self. Conceited. A lot of us lack the discernment to truly realize that we have pride in us. Some people try and give the appearance of humility in order to manipulate others. PRIDE does not mean to put yourself down. All Now the question you must ask yourself is: "How can I humble myself?" Truly humble people compare themselves only with Jesus Christ, realize their sinfulness, and understand their limitations. Humility is a realistic assessment and commitment to serve. What happens to those who let PRIDE take over? Hmmmm just ask Lucifer (Satan). When you truly understand that this life is not yours and that you are lent time on earth, it humbles you. Please let that sink in...
Luke 14:11 - "For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

.....::::: COUNT THE COST BEFORE YOU CARRY THE CROSS :::::.....

Yesterday night I had the honor of attending an awesome Bible Study at The Universal Evangelical Center of Montreal (Centre Évangélique Universelle de Montréal), and the pastor of that church, my friend Reverend Caleb Barthelus. The message was too deep so I had to share. The words that keep hitting me were: "Are you sure?"
So many of us claim to follow Jesus but still have a foot or hand on the old things. To carry the cross is to leave behind what God says and be devoted. Are you? Did you count the cost before you made your decision? Will you abandon the Christian life after a little while because you did not count the cost of commitment to Jesus? You may face loss of social status or wealth. Some may have to give up control over money, time and their career. You may be hated by friends, family and even put to death like in some countries. Jesus wants total dedication, not half heart commitment. We can't follow Him selectively. What have you left behind to move forward with Jesus? Forgive me for asking...
Luke 14:28-30 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish." & Luke 9:62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

•• WITHHOLDING NOTHING ••

Nothing like starting your day off by entering into the presence of God! Here is on of my favorite worship songs to begin the day with.

William McDowell - Withholding Nothing

Sing a new song to the Lord ! Let the whole earth sing to the Lord ! Sing to the Lord; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the Lord ! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens! Honor and majesty surround him; strength and beauty fill his sanctuary. (Psalms 96:1-6)

Be Blessed!

.....::::: GOOD MUSIC ALERT!!! :::::.....

Hey guys!!! If you are alive and breathing, get this man of God's CD!!! If you don't understand french, you better learn lool!! Joke but its well worth it!!! Stay blessed and lets help support Gospel artists!

.....::::: GENUINE HUMILITY > SELFISH AMBITION :::::.....

Of course when you think of love you think of Christ but what about humility? This man (and God at the same time) embodied humility to His core. How are you imitating Christ's humility? A lot of us only live to make a good impression of ourselves for others. But caring about yourself all the time is troublesome. In the Bible, Jesus washed His disciples feet...yeah...He did that! We must serve others. He who was God, brought Himself and made Himself a servant. Thats what love is all about! In love there is no "I" or "me". It's "we" or better yet "you". Considering others' interests as more important than our own links us to Christ l, who was a true example of humility. We should have a servant's attitude, serving out of love for God and for others. God is so cool that He even gives you the choice. You can approach life expecting to be served, or you can look for opportunities to serve others. Please let that sink in...
Philippians 2:3-7 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness."

.....::::: "WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS" :::::.....

I don't know about you but this puts a smile on my face! Who would ever think to die for the worst of the worst? The most ungrateful of the ungrateful? Jesus that's who. God sent Jesus to die for us, not because we were good enough, but because He loves us. Whenever you feel uncertain about God's love for you, remember that He loved you even before you turned to Him. If God loved you when you were a rebel, He can surely strengthen you, now that you love Him in return! Please let that sink in...
Romans 5:5-8 "And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

.....::::: ATTITUDE 101 :::::.....

An attitude is a feeling or emotion toward a fact or state. It has been said that attitude is everything. Ever been in a really bad mood and it affected your attitude? Where you have said and done things you shouldn't have because something got on your nerves? I don't know about you but I know I have. You are not always in control of what happens to you, but you are always in control of how you respond. Your attitude is the only thing you get to control 100% of the time. The Bible uses the word mind to describe your attitude more often than it uses the actual word attitude. However, what you think about leads to actions and those actions lead to habits. Your habits develop your character and your character develops your future. It all starts with your attitude and your mind. What does the Bible say about your attitude? In Matthew 22:37, Jesus says that if we truly love God with all our hearts, our souls and minds, we will naturally keep the commandments. Lets not forget, caring for our neighbor (the way we talk to them, the way we treat them in general) is just as important as any commandment! Rather than worrying about all we should not do, we should concentrate on all we can do to show our love for God and others. Please let that sink in...
Matthew 22:37 - "Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
